Agua de Limones

Game:

Students form a circle with a leader in the middle.

The circle joins hands and sings the song while walking in a steady beat. At the end of the song, the leader calls out a group formation (people wearing blue, groups of three, birthday month, etc.)

If there is a student without a group, they are out. The game continues until “el que quede solo, solo quedorá,” the last one who remains is the winner.

Here Comes a Bluebird

Students stand in a circle with hands connected above their heads to create arches.

One student musician is the bluebird. They “fly” in and under the arches as the rest of the class sings the song. At the words, “take a little partner,” the bluebird chooses a partner from the circle. They move to the middle of the circle, take hands, and hop together. When the song is over, the original bluebird takes their place back in the circle and the chosen student musician is the new bluebird.

Ickle Ockle

Students walk in open space singing the song. At the end of the song, each student joins hands with a partner. In the next round of the song, partners join with another group. Continue singing and combining groups until the class is in a circle.

Little Sally Water

Children join hands in a circle, with one child in the center as "Sally," covering his or her eyes with two hands. The circle moves around as they sing the song. The child in the center imitates the song all the way through, pointing to another child in the circle at the end of the song, still covering the eyes with one hand. The chosen child becomes "Sally," goes to the center and the game starts again

Let Us Chase the Squirrel

Two students hold hands above their heads to make an arch. All sing the song and the rest of the class walks in a circle under the arch. At the end of the song, the "branches" (arms) of the students making the arch go down to catch a player. That new student joins the two, and there is an arch of three. Continue until each player has joined the circle of arches.
